Views
- The Old Oak and fungus were getting crisp in the heat and long dry spell we've been having.
- Wood anemone was blooming along the Wappingers Creek trail below the bluff.
- Dog violets were encountered everywhere.
- A Noctuid moth rose from the path in front of me and let me get a shot after a round of hide and seek.
- One little violet and a bloodroot were hiding near the "Appendix".
- At their post in the Fern Glen pond were the Painted Turtles.
- While having lunch, I noticed fresh reed leaves moving inspite of the calm: a Giant Water Bug had climbed out of the depths!
- Up the hill Rue Anemone were out.
- Near by, Spring Beauty were proving their name.
- Unfortunately the Cut-leaved Tootwort was out of focus...
- It would be nice to see what emerges; there were several such cocoons.
- Trillium, red and white were in many locations in the Glen.
- A Primrose lurked in a few as well.
- Spice bush was filling the air with its citrus scent.
- One clump of the peculiar Corydalis was near the road.
- Back on the Cary Pines Trail, the first Eastern Tent Caterpillar nest was under construction.
- The Old Gravel Pit is STILL wet. Take the Ed-venture Trail around it.
- What's this sparling jewel of diamonds on black velvet doing on the Gifford sidewalk?
- A now provoked Grapvine Epimenis!
