The Trails

Views

  • The bird feeders at the Gifford House are frequented by the not so common red-breasted nuthatch.
  • The bottom of the Old Gravel Pit looked like a great slush puddle, but was quite solid.
  • Otherwise, the trails were pretty clear of snow.
  • A tree was down along the Cary Pines Trail, but it was a graceful fall.
  • A winter wren was sneeking around the swampy brush along the Sedge Meadow Trail.
  • "Warning: bridge freezes before forest floor."
  • So ended a quiet day on the trails.
